Positron emission tomography (PET)-CT imaging has overcome this diagnostic dilemma due to its ability to provide for both anatomical and functional imaging. We report two rare cases of thyroid cartilage metastases on F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose PET-CT from breast and papillary thyroid malignancies as primaries.
