Abstract
•Our aim was to investigate and evaluate whether the use of ARTISSTM provides the opportunity for parotidectomies to be performed as safe, day case procedures at Salford Royal Hospital.

•96.3% of our patients did not require a drain postoperatively with ARTISSTM.

•There were no subsequent related readmissions of patients in our cohort.

•Of 31 patients in our cohort, 27 were discharged on the same day of admission, three were kept overnight for observation of medical co‐morbidities/social issues and one had a drain inserted due to a postoperative haematoma.

•ARTISSTM use reduced the need for drain insertion leading to same‐day discharges and reduction in cost of £300.54 per patient.
