Changes in epidermal morphology associated with dandruff,

Dandruff is a common scalp condition and this study demonstrates that there are significant changes in epidermal morphology in this condition. The epidermis is thicker, more convoluted and has deeper rete ridges. We show an increase in proliferating keratinocytes in dandruff skin, a novel finding suggesting the epidermis is in a hyper‐proliferative state.
