Non-atopic severe asthma might still be atopic: Sensitization towards Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxins: This study shows that patients with severe asthma, previously considered non-atopic, may be sensitized to less frequently tested allergens, specifically S. aureus enterotoxins. The diagnosis of an atopy, however, may be crucial to make optimal treatment decisions.
